I have returned from the real world to spend more time on numbing my brain online. On my return I realise the internet is actually rather dull. However I also realised that it is not the reason I don't accomplish anything, it is just a convenient time waster. While offline I didn't do any more than I normally would, I just worked harder to think of things to do to avoid doing anything of value. The internet isn't the problem, it's just my personality. I'm one of these "Don't put off 'till tomorrow what you can avoid doing all together" type of people.
Having said that, I did dream about the internet on Saturday, so I might be an addict.
Either way, it's not an experiment I'll be being putting myself through again any time soon. But it's half term next week, so I might be up for another week long experiment like I've done with sleep deprivation and being nocturnal in the past. Suggestions welcome, though I might begin a longer experiment on the theme of identity.
