Politics (again)

I am back. Livvy still has one more post to go but I thought I'd do one anyway. In an attempt at being topical I've decided to do one on politics. However, seeing as this is a rather dull subject I will be splicing in more interesting stuff. [just to make a clear distinction between politics and interesting I'll use square brackets for interesting stuff. Think of it as a bit like split personalities]
Instead of focusing what parties I support I'll be focusing more on my views on politics in general. [And dragons. Because everyone loves dragons.]
Firstly I should point out I'm pretty much liberal, with a live and let live attitude in regards to government. I believe that people should be free to do as they like, as long as their actions don't infringe the actions of others. [For example, ninjas can do as they please, but trying to kill Chuck Norris with death stars would infringe the world's right to his awesomeness. I'm not saying they'd succeed, but it's best if they don't try. (those not with internet culture will find this whole bit slightly bizarre)]
I feel this means that the government should not be involved too much with making ethical decisions and should try to make sure everything is fair. [If this starts getting too dull just read it in your head with Barry White's voice. Even politics sounds sexy with his voice]
However I also believe that it is impossible for any human to know what is right and the best for people, so voting, which is exclaiming that you believe you know what is best, is merely naivety. [What the hell am I on about now? Philosophical psychology? Bloody hell, why? If you've got spotify you could try listening to this playlist instead of reading this: Queur It's 4 hours of some of the best rock songs ever made and each artist is selected from one of the related artists suggested from the previous one. It's nothing to do with politics but it's much more interesting than this post. And you never know, it might synch with what you're reading.]
This idea of people not knowing anything for certain has one main problem: It means I can't actually be sure of the principle itself. This makes it difficult, if not impossible, to argue it as a legitimate theory with any confidence. [I'm going to take this time to tell you about a dream I had last night. It started with me having a double bitter-sweet screwdriver, a cocktail I invented. After drinking this I went for a walk through a series of fields before reaching an abandoned mine. Then there was a ghost, the whole thing was on live T.V. and I realised it would take me a day to walk home. That was more or less it. A couple of nights ago I had a much more interesting dream where I brought some kitchen appliance from Charlie Brooker, then became his taxi driver. Then there was a storm, the end of the world and then it was Star Wars. So that was interesting. Anyway, back to politics.]
So in summary, it might be impossible to know anything, but I'm not sure. [And in summary for my bit, the recipe for a bitter-sweet screwdriver is 2 measures vodka, 2 measures orange juice, a couple of splashes of lemon juice and a teaspoon of sugar.]

Sorry to burst your bubble, but you did not invent the screwdriver (it is vodka and orange btw) and if your invention had other ingredients, it wasn't a screwdriver.

PS I sent people to your blog last Sunday through my Sunday Shoutout :)

It's a bitter-sweet screwdriver. Not a screwdriver, a variation on a screwdriver.
