Wasted

So, the summer holidays have essentially finished. Remember how I suggested I might be able to write some good posts during the summer? Well, that obviously didn't happen. Now, you're probably thinking I was too busy partying, gallivanting, generally debauching and all the other wholesome things that young go-getters such as myself are expected to do during the summer. Of course, you aren't really thinking that, unless you know as much about me as a particularly uninformed piece of belly button fluff knows about the political situation in Kuwait. That was a piece of colourful imagery to help you forget that this post isn't going anywhere.
Anyway, I have, in fact, not been debauching (which I had never thought of as its own word until today). Instead, I spent my summer doing nothing. Which is a pity, as I had actually planned lots of fun activities for myself, which, had I completed them, would allow me to say I in fact did nothing of value, which is much better than doing nothing. There is a certain pride someone gets from completing activities that make other people ask "Why the hell did you waste your summer doing that?", just before they walk over to someone who achieved equally little, but in a less constructive way. But no, I failed at constructive nothingness, instead achieving the same type of nothingness as a city council meeting on a subject that no one wants to admit they don't understand so instead of contributing they contemplate how they can avoid blame when whatever is being discussed inevitably fails. In short, not only did I not achieve anything, I actively avoided anything that might lead me to accidentally achieving anything. (A colourful simile mocking an easy political target in a way that has been done countless times in the past? Wow, this post has everything! Actually, is it a simile? I didn't actually say it was like it, so does it still count? These rambling brackets about nothing are the direct result of me not reading through my own posts. This must get really tiring to read, right? Man, I'd hate to be you right now. Just feel lucky I didn't nest any brackets in this one. (Which would look like this, by the way. (Though to be fair, that's only being used as an example, so I added this second layer of nesting just to add some spice. (Or should that be third level? I never quite got if you included the first layer. It might be like ground floor Vs. first floor, what with the wacky Americans and their occasionally more logical use of the English language. (Except for how they say and spell aluminium, that's just wrong. (Though, if you want to really get into it, Humphry Davy, the discoverer of the metal, preferred the spelling alumium and it wasn't until later that the end was changed to 'inium' to better fit with other elements' names. (But, that's coming for a guy called Humphry Davy, not only did he forget an E from his name, but his name sounds like a drunk person trying to make a vaguely rude version of "Upsy Daisy". (On the subject of In the Night Garden, have you ever noticed how most of the characters' names sound like ethnic slurs for races we don't have yet? Makka Pakka? Ninky Nonk? Pinky Ponk? I mean, really. (Oh dear hell, how did I get here? I've now got to work out how many brackets I need to end this abomination of our once fine language.))))))))) Remind me not to do that again. Oh, who am I kidding, there's no one left reading after that, is there? At least not anyone who would have any interest in talking to me in a way that doesn't involve so many four letter words that they'd have a good chance of winning a game of Boggle, despite the low scoring nature of shorter words.
This post was supposed to just be a cheap way of making me seem interesting by giving a misleading title that briefly gives the impression that I had at least some level of debauching going on, but, after what we've been through in the last few minutes, I think we can all agree that it turned into something much, much less. I really shouldn't blog while this sleep deprived.
So, until next time (or a least until you decide to give me some helpful updates for my four letter word dictionary), bye.

Summer's end

So summer has finished. You may remember me writing a post at the beginning of summer, which went a little something like this.
So what have I accomplished this summer? Well I went 61 hours without sleep, followed by 27 hours with just sleep, I got my GCSE results and I wrote about shoelaces (which, by the way, lead to a response from the worlds' leading expert on the subject, Ian Fieggen. Contrary to the impression you might have got from my post, Ian actually seems like a pretty cool guy. If you do need any information about shoelaces then his website is the definitive resource on the subject. Anyway, I'll move on now, before I start seeming creepy.)
Anyway, I basically did nothing with my summer, as I expected. You might notice that I'm posting this on Saturday instead of Sunday. The reason for this is that I don't want to have to be doing my blog tomorrow night as I have English coursework due in on Monday. Yes, I've done so little these last six weeks that I haven't even managed to start work on my coursework. I hope my English teacher doesn't read my blog (it seems unlikely that she does.). It shouldn't be hard though, I've only got to write about 6 pages on some poems that I mostly haven't read. But when I put my mind to something like this, it shouldn't take me too long. Though it has taken me nearly an hour to write this post so far.
Wow, that was a bit of a pointless ramble, wasn't it?
What I have done is watch the first season of How I Met Your Mother about 5 times. Of course I don't like it, much too produced and American sit-comy for me. *cough*
On the social side of things, I failed to do almost anything social. In total I did one thing which could definitely be considered social. I haven't had a proper conversation with anyone outside of my family for over two weeks. Though I did talk to someone since then, in a a "Hi, how have you been?" "Fine" capacity. This was at a small, one day music festival, which is something else I did. I went.
So that was my summer, at least most of it. Now school again.

Also, did anyone else find this post really boring? I hate personal blogs. Hopefully I'll have a more interesting blog post up next week.

Summer

My summer has finally begun. This is somewhat bitter-sweet, as although I don't really enjoy school much, it is at least something to do. As I might have mentioned at some point (like, in every post), I don't really have a social life and as such spend virtually all my free time on the computer. Actually that might be part of the reason that I have no social life. So summer is more or less 6 weeks of nothing to me, except for the complete collapse of any sort of regular sleeping patterns.
I will probably sometimes stay up throughout the night then go for a walk to watch the sun rise. That's probably the most interesting thing I'll do. Also it gives the image of a night poet, separate from society, seeing the universe in a different light. Chicks dig that.
During the summer I might start writing a semi-fictionalised web comic of my life. As it will be part blog, part comic it will be named like a vlog (part blog, part video). So it will be a clog.
However my inability to draw might be a problem here, but we'll see.
In an attempt to make the most of my summer I requested suggestions for how to spend it, but the only, and therefore best by default, suggestion was (unedited, by the way) "BIG BOOTY BITCHES BIG BIG BOOTY BITCHES WE DON'T WANT NO SKINNY BITCHES WE WANT BIG BOOTY BITCHES", which I will attempt to implement immediately.
Apart from that my summer is pretty much empty, save for a couple of events.
Also, do I come across as really British in my blog?

Camp Pt2

Continued from part 1

So I got woken up at about eight to leave at half past, to get there for nine (at least I think they're the times, can't really remember). When I got there I saw a bunch of people standing in a dorm through a window pointing and yelling my name in excitement. So I figure they may have had some vague memory of me. When I got inside there was a collection of people standing about who appeared to have heard I was there, along with others who hadn't been there before wondering what was going on.
It was a sailing camp, so the days were split half sailing and half activities. Most of the rest of the week was spent by me being called a legend and playing ping-pong. At night me and Edward would have arguments while the rest of the dorm listened in silence. It was like a comedy double act, which is the only reason we did it. A lot more happened during the week, but I can't put most of it into words while keeping any sort of flow.
At the end of the week there was general sadness and stuff, then people slowly started to get picked up and go home. When I got home I had my stuff washed and went on the internet.

Then I had to pack again. The next day I was going on another activity camp. By this point I was tired as I was getting up at seven as opposed to my normal summer holiday of between noon and three, and I had been doing more stuff each day than I would have done in about a fortnight during the rest of the summer.

To be continued in part three.
